The idea is to make the server more community-based factions and less each player to his own small faction, in hope that will take the Co-Op in this game to another level
The concept is:
Few large factions, each on a different planet except the pirate which will have an outpost in few locations.
Each faction has a large city/base which is shared with the faction and acts as the main base for all faction members.
Each faction will have a set of roles and positions that will be filled by players or the RG staff; Leader, economic leader, builder leader, Military leader, etc.
factions will have goals to expand and trade and build their own outpost and settlements on space and other planets.
each player will need to build a ship to help the faction, Drilling, hauling, fighting, a player can hold few ships for different porpuses and need to be sync with the leadership for the faction needs.
In order to make the faction communicate need to place some specific ore only on some planets, this way faction will have to trade or fight for that or sneak drilling for the ore while some patroling to find rival faction stealing ore from their planet.
each player will be responsible for his own grids and will not share them to avoid trolls stealing their belongings, and can build his own ships in the faction area.
New players in the server will be able to choose which faction to join but will need to be interview by the faction leader to be accepted. (another way to reduce trolls damage)
this is just some of the ideas but it can be developed much more.
I have been playing SE for years and always was missing this part of the game of goals and big co-op in the server, which SE never had in the core game (other than building).
